I’m an artist and visual storyteller from Korea and Los Angeles, currently based in New York City. My creative practice spans theater, music, dance, and film, and I actively collaborate with artists from diverse disciplines to bring unique visions to life.
My first name, Woori, means “we” and “together” in Korean. To me, it represents not only myself, but also the people around me and the communities I am part of. This idea of togetherness shapes the way I approach both theater and life, and inspires me to think about how my work can connect with and contribute to the people around me.
Through collaboration, I hope to create visual worlds that reflect a shared vision and invite audiences into the possibilities of theater. Ultimately, I want to grow as a theater artist who uses storytelling and design to support, connect with, and uplift diverse communities.
I graduated from California Institute of the Arts in 2023 with a BFA in Design and Production, specializing in Scenic Design, with a minor in Digital Arts. I am currently pursuing an MFA in Set Design at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, with an expected graduation in 2028.
