American Opera Projects (AOP) and NYU have collaborated annually through Opera Lab, a program that brings together composers, writers, performers, and designers to develop and present new operatic works. In celebration of the New York Transit Museum’s 50th anniversary, this season was developed in partnership with the museum and featured new works inspired by New York City’s public transportation history.
